the-fire-remains.neocities.org is the personal website of Jules, and the website you're currently on. It was created on May 28th of 2025 anno Domini[1] out of a mix of boredom and a want to post content somewhere more customizable and less engagement-focused than traditional social media. It is currently lacking in content due to the fact the webmaster only wants to work on it when he has something to do, and loses all interest when she actually has free time.
Currently, the website is planned to host information on creative writing projects and more general ramblings on media of the owner's interest, primarily narrative-focused video games and rock bands nobody cares about. Pages hosting photography, music reccomendations, internet shrines, and a small site and life updates blog are also planned.
Webmaster
Jules "J.B.", who also goes by jaybeefish in some places online, is the webmaster[2] of the-fire-remains. She is an 18-year-old college student from the great state of New Jersey majoring in environmental science. He identifies as bigender and goes by he/him or she/her pronouns (although he doesn't really mind anything else). She took one (1) extremely low-level computer science class in his senior year of high school and decided to pick up html/css, this being his first foray into coding on his own. She is bad at it, if you haven't picked up on that.
In her personal life, Jules enjoys both fiction and non-fiction writing, going on nature walks/hikes, and other similarly boring things. He is a skilled[3] clarinetist and spent all of his formative years starting at age 10 in school concert and marching bands, an experience that has left her with many horror stories to tell. He considers himself an agnostic theist and wishes there was a better way to word that concisely without sounding like a Redditor. He hates talking about himself in the first-person, but he hates not committing to the bit even more. She is very interested in entomology and arachnology and can talk about bugs for innapropriate lengths of time. His favorite insect is the northern dusk singing cicada.
